Completed the second original o/c in the series of "Field of Daffodils" the end of this month. And as the oils have been applied throughout the painting thickly, it will be another couple of weeks before she's totally dried and ready to frame.
I recall seeing rows upon rows of daffodils in my families greenhouses/glasshouses in Chatham, where these flowers were grown. And today, in small clusters here and there in the front lawns of neighborhoods. Yet an abundance of various shades of yellow and white with their orange centers growing in a woodsy field is breathtaking and one to not miss capturing permanently in paintings.
